Located in the open-air greenhouse of the Milaeger's Racine store. A traditional German Biergarten with food, music, authentic Biergarten tables and benches. We'll be serving up delicious Hofbrau Bier, wine, hard cider and craft soda for the kiddos. There will be children's activities and stein-hoisting contests. Free Admission. Prost!

Whether you're an avid orchid grower or just want to try a different growing experience, this is the workshop for you. Give your orchids the closest to their natural environment as possible by mounting them and hanging them in your home. Our orchid experts will help you mount your orchid on natural cork bark. We will teach you how to maintain your new orchid and give you additional tips and tricks for orchid growing success! Workshop includes orchid and all materials. Kokedama Orchid Hanging Workshop

Kokedama was a relatively unknown way of keeping plants, but is now taking the world by storm. It is a traditional Japanese art form using moss as a container for planting. Kokedama look exceptional when hanging, or try setting them on a decorative waterproof dish to be displayed. There are some cultures where moss is the symbol of hope, rebirth and resurrection. Come and join us for our workshop and get to know all about Kokedama and make one of your own to take home! Workshop includes orchid and all materials. All-inclusive workshop is $35 plus tax. Cost of the class is $10 plus tax and includes instruction and hands on oil experience, as we will be making a rollerball for you to take home! Wine will be served.


Spring Floral Design Workshop

Hop on over to Milaegers for our Spring Floral Design Workshop. We will be creating a 26" bunny or spring wall pocket to decorate a door or wall for a touch of spring. Includes all materials and instruction. Mimosas will be served to get your creative juices flowing. The cost is $44.99 plus tax. Pre-register in stores or online.

Purchase of tickets is not refundable or returnable. If you cannot make an event or workshop, you may transfer the tickets to another person or apply the ticket towards a different event/workshop.

Please remember that each workshop is subject to change due to unforeseeable events. If a workshop is canceled, we will call the number you provided at registration.

Photographs and video footage may be taken throughout our events. These will be used by Milaeger's for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website, on social media or in any other media. Please contact the event organizer if you have any concerns, or if you wish to be exempted from this activity.

When you arrive for a workshop, please go directly to the greenhouse (south end.) There, you will be given a ticket for the class and will be directed to the workshop area.

If you wish to wear gloves at the workshops, please bring your own. If you forget, Milaeger’s has garden gloves available for purchase. Please wear typical gardening clothing and sensible shoes.

If you have special requirements, please let our staff know when you make your reservation. We will make every effort to make the workshops easy and enjoyable for all.

If you would like to reuse your containers from previous years, please contact us at to see if discounted pricing is available. There is no discounted pricing for the Jumbo Hanging Basket Workshops.

If you are registering for a large group that would like to work together, please advise our staff when you make your reservation, and we will try to accommodate you. We recommend that you observe social distancing guidelines.
