Empty Bowls Painting Fundraiser at the Farmers Market

Come paint a bowl at the Milaeger's Great Lakes Farmers Market to be donated to the Empty Bowls 2025 event in Racine! Join us to help fight hunger and homelessness in our very own community. The public is welcome to paint a bowl made by hand in Sturtevant, WI by On A Whim. $20 covers the bowl, painting, glaze and firing. Pick a bowl to paint and it will be donated to the Empty Bowls 2025 Fundraiser to benefit HALO and Racine County Foodbank. Empty Bowls 2025 will take place the first Monday in March at Festival Hall.

Candlelight Hike and Ski at River Bend

Let candlelight be your guide through the winter evening forest. End your walk with complimentary hot chocolate, donated by Milaeger’s, in the campfire’s warming circle. Candlelight Trail is free (but donations are welcomed) If snow conditions permit, snowshoes and skis will be available to rent on a first come/first served basis.
CHILI DINNER OPTION! Add a chili dinner before or after your candlelight venture. Enjoy hearty chili served from the campfire kettle. Chili dinner includes chili (meat and vegetarian options available), soft drink, and s’mores. Beer, wine and cider available for purchase. $18 adults / $10 children 10 & under / 3 & under free. The Milwaukee Area Dachshund Lovers Group (MADL) and the MidWest Dachshund Rescue Organization (MWDR) have teamed up to bring you an exciting afternoon of weiner dog races.
Races start at 1pm on Saturday, February 22nd. All dachshunds/owners MUST pre-register online at Ticketleap BEFORE February 18th here.
*Must Check-in at the Pre-Reg Table day of Race between 11:30a - 12:45pm.
*Prizes will be awarded to race winners in each division; young, adult, and senior &/or handicapped Dachshund.

Purchase of tickets is not refundable or returnable. If you cannot make an event or workshop, you may transfer the tickets to another person or apply the ticket towards a different event/workshop.
Please remember that each workshop is subject to change due to unforeseeable events. If a workshop is canceled, we will call the number you provided at registration.
Photographs and video footage may be taken throughout our events. These will be used by Milaeger's for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website, on social media or in any other media. Please contact the event organizer if you have any concerns, or if you wish to be exempted from this activity.
When you arrive for a workshop, please go directly to the greenhouse (south end.) There, you will be given a ticket for the class and will be directed to the workshop area.
If you wish to wear gloves at the workshops, please bring your own. If you forget, Milaeger’s has garden gloves available for purchase. Please wear typical gardening clothing and sensible shoes.
If you have special requirements, please let our staff know when you make your reservation. We will make every effort to make the workshops easy and enjoyable for all.
If you would like to reuse your containers from previous years, please contact us at info@milaegers.com to see if discounted pricing is available. There is no discounted pricing for the Jumbo Hanging Basket Workshops.
If you are registering for a large group that would like to work together, please advise our staff when you make your reservation, and we will try to accommodate you. We recommend that you observe social distancing guidelines.
