Frost-Free Plants in a Spring Garden Bowl Workshop

Make a fabulous low bowl arrangement filled with cold-tolerant blooming annuals. 16” low bowl, potting soil, and all plants are included. Our fashion show is an amazing event debuting over 100 outfits from head to toe! $40 plus tax ticket ($45 plus tax day of show) includes a $10 gift certificate, a chance at thousands of dollars in prizes, storewide discount coupons, a gift bag and refreshments after the show. Greens to Grow Program

“Greens to Grow” helps you get a head start on spring planting with cold tolerant varieties, so you can harvest fresh, healthy greens as soon as possible. We’ve started the plants early, and they are ready for you in a handy size. Cared for properly, you can start to harvest greens a few weeks after planting. Plant an assortment so you can be assured that there will always be something tasty. We usually recommend April 1st as a target date for planting the cold tolerant greens. Check our website for the list of varieties we are growing for 2023.

Kids’ Event - Visit with Easter Bunny and Planting

Jumbo Hanging Garden Basket Workshop

This is the original basket workshop that thousands of gardeners have enjoyed and the most popular workshop we offer. We’ll help you select plants for sun, part sun, or mostly shade. You plant your selections in your choice of our professional 16” fiber pot with deluxe hanger or black plastic water saver pot. We’ll care for your basket until you pick it up (by May 30). Cost for the all-inclusive workshop is $79 plus tax for the 16” fiber pot or $89 plus tax for the black plastic water saver pot. Pre-register in stores or online. Window Box or Cradle Planter Workshops

These decorative planters are a beautiful alternative to traditional window boxes. These can be hung on a wall or a railing. Each piece is a plastic coated ribbed steel rectangular wall planter with a coco-fiber liner. 24” x 7½” wall planter with all specialty plant materials $65 + tax and the 30” x 7½” planter $85 + tax. Additional option is a 30” free standing cradle planter with all plants $125 + tax. Two larger options of the cradle planter are also available, a 36 inch free standing cradle with plants is $145 + tax and a 42” with plants is $165 + tax. A Mother’s Day Mixed Garden Pot for Mom

This activity enables kids to make a Mother’s Day Garden Pot as a special gift for Mom. Each child gets a 12” plastic pot and mixed plants. (Moms are also invited to do this project with their children if they wish.) For children ages 4-12, accompanied by an adult; one child per container, please. This is a make it take it workshop. Girls Night Out – Mother’s Day Flower Garden

The Good Cook’s Garden Workshop

All good cooks love fresh ingredients, and this workshop makes harvesting herbs and vegetables easy. Choose a combination of herbs and the new compact veggies – seven plants in all. Education and discussion at the beginning of class will feature our new compact veggies. A beautiful 27”x12”x10” rectangular planter and soil is provided. We’ll care for your planter until you pick it up (by May 30th). Cost for this all-inclusive workshop is $62 plus tax. Pre-register in stores or online.

Moss Turtle with Succulent Shell

This adorable moss turtle has seven holes for planting on its back. After you fill the turtle with provided soil, you can select seven 2” succulents to make an interesting arrangement on the “shell”. This is a make it, take it project, which means that you take your turtle home with you after the workshop. Place it on a plate and put it in a sunny window until the weather warms—possibly the end of May. Cost for the all-inclusive workshop is $55. Pre-registration is required.

This Event is a Celebration of Outdoor Cooking! Come and meet grilling enthusiasts while you sample pork and chicken sliders, pepper poppers, queso bowls, cherry cheesecake, and more—all made on assorted deluxe Traegers. $25 ticket includes food samples made on the grills, a voucher for a free glass of wine or beer (additional beverages available for purchase), free gifts, store-wide discount coupons, a $10 Gift Card, and a chance at great prizes. Kids under 12 are free with purchase of two $25 tickets. It’s a great way to learn about more ways to enjoy your Traeger grill, and a perfect opportunity to find the perfect grill for year round cooking. Register in stores or online. Farm to Table Dinner

Everyone at Milaeger’s is delighted to welcome you to our Farm to Table Dinner! This quintessential dining experience is offered in our beautifully decorated retractable roof greenhouse that opens to starry lights of the summer night. The cocktail hour begins at 6:00pm and will feature farm fresh appetizers and signature drinks while you reconnect with friends and meet some new people. Our five-course dinner will be prepared onsite by Braise Restaurant and is a culinary delight made with fresh, local ingredients provided by our Great Lakes Farmers Market farmers and bakers. The complete menu will be available on our website one week prior to the event, and provisions will be made for anyone with dietary restrictions if we are notified in advance. Wine lovers will enjoy exclusive wine pairings with each course. As an alternative, mixed drinks will be available at our cash bar. Special pricing on featured wines is offered by the bottle or by the case. Live music from Sipos and Young. Cost for this most remarkable dinner event is $135 per person plus tax and is non-refundable after September 1st. Accommodations are available for groups to sit together, and seating will be assigned in order of the reservations.

Purchase of tickets is not refundable or returnable. If you cannot make an event or workshop, you may transfer the tickets to another person or apply the ticket towards a different event/workshop.
Please remember that each workshop is subject to change due to unforeseeable events. If a workshop is canceled, we will call the number you provided at registration.
Photographs and video footage may be taken throughout our events. These will be used by Milaeger's for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website, on social media or in any other media. Please contact the event organizer if you have any concerns, or if you wish to be exempted from this activity.
When you arrive for a workshop, please go directly to the greenhouse (south end.) There, you will be given a ticket for the class and will be directed to the workshop area.
If you wish to wear gloves at the workshops, please bring your own. If you forget, Milaeger’s has garden gloves available for purchase. Please wear typical gardening clothing and sensible shoes.
If you have special handicap requirements, please let our staff know when you make your reservation. We will make every effort to make the workshops easy and enjoyable for all.
