Chili Cook-Off at the Market!
Our farmers market is all about community and helping those in need. Every year, our vendors team up to do a chili cook-off as a fundraiser for someone needing our help. This year, our fundraiser is for the family of one of our vendors, Nature's Niche.
Nature's Niche is at our farmers market every week with poultry, eggs, and a variety of different goat's milk products including soaps and lotions. Their farm is located in Burlington, Wisconsin. Tragically, they lost their 2 year old granddaughter, Mackenzie Renee Shuler, this past January. Mackenzie had open heart surgery and had a Berlin heart (artificial heart) put in earlier in January as she waited for a transplant. After suffering a major stroke, she lost her battle here on earth the end of January.
Our chili cook-off fundraiser features 16 of our local vendors preparing their finest chili for you to try! Cost is $5 for 6 tastings, $10 for 12, and $12 for all 16 tastings. Donations will also be accepted. You can vote for your favorite chili and that vendor will received a free booth fee for the market!
